Greta Thunberg fined at Swedish courts. A Swedish court has fined environmental activist Greta Thunberg after pleading guilty to disobeying law enforcement.
Greta Thunberg was charged earlier this month with a "crime of violation of law and order" after taking part in protests on June 19 that blocked oil tankers in part of the Malmö port.
Prosecutors said the protests caused traffic disruptions in Malmö. Greta, a female, was accused of failing to leave the location when police ordered her to.
According to a Malmö City Court spokesperson, the court levied a fine of about $214 in the form of 30 daily fines of 50 Swedish kroner $7.12 each.Schedule your appointment.
