There is no minimum age for reimbursement of child education allowance in respect of the children enrolled in the nursery. The wife can claim a tax credit only if she files a joint return with her husband and they meet all other eligibility requirements. Her permissible filing positions are jointly married filing or separately married filing. She is not eligible for a tax credit if she chooses to file separately
